Official HTC ONE (M8) and cost

The HTC One (M8) is now official with 90% of the phone being metal while it's predecessor had 70% giving it a sleeker look.

The HTC One (M8) screen has 1920x1080 pixels resolution in a 5" display from 4.7". The new HTC One has slimmer bezels and it's hardware keys have been replaced by on-screen touch ones.

The newest smartphone on the market offers a Snapdragon 801 chipset with a 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. The storage options are 16 GB and 32 GB but the M8 will allow expansion by up to 128 GB through the microSD card slot.  HTC kept the front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers in this version and it's said to be 25% louder as well.

The smartphone comes with Android version 4.4 KitKat with HTC's Sense 6, it features a 4 ultra-pixel camera with 1/3" sensor, 2 micron-sized pixels and f/2.0 aperture plus a second camera located above which is meant to gather depth information and lastly the front-facing camera is a wide-angle 5 MP which is a noticable change from last year's model which had 2.1MP.

HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610 at €370 and €300

HTC announced their latest Mid-range devices about a month ago but no prices were known yet nor a launch date. Amazon Germany listed the two new Desire devices, having the HTC Desire 816 at €370 and Desire 610 at €300. Bare in mind that the release date is unknown yet and this is just a pre-order. 



Mid-range HTC Desire 816 and Desire 610

MWC as you already know started and we have a lot of news. HTC showed two new midrange smartphones named Desire 816 and Desire 610.

The HTC Desire 816 is 156.6 x 78.7 x 7.99mm and weighs 165g. It has a 5.5” screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage, and supports a microSD for extra space. The HTC Desire 816 carries 13MP camera with a 5MP front facer. The smartphone also has a 2,600mAh battery and will come in Android 4.4 KitKat with sense 5.5.

Now the HTC Desire 610 comes with a bit smaller screen at 4.7" qHD display and inside there is a Snapdragon 400 processor with four Kraits running at 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. This model has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front facing. Also this model will come with Android Jelly Bean and packs a 2,040mAh battery. Both smartphones from HTC will be available on May.

The new HTC One will be announced on March 25 in London and New York. This is all the official information so far but numerous leaks throughout the past few months show the HTC named as M8 will be the next flagship. The smartphone is tipped to come with a 5" 1080p display and Snapdragon 800 chipset. An interesting feature of the M8 is the new UltraPixel technology which should use two cameras at the back and a dual-LED true-tone flash.

Thanks to the notorious @evleaks we already know the HTC M8 will be called The All New One and it is rumored to come in Silver, Grey and Gold colousr at launch.


New HTC smartphone to launch on March 25th

According to Engaged.com the new HTC smartphone will be launch on March 24th as they have received an invitation for the launch event taking place in New York and London and it’s very likely that we’ll see the device that’s been making the rumor rounds with the codename “M8.” which has enjoyed a large number of leaks so far.

The M8 is said to stick to the original HTC One, and will hopefully avoid any cheapening effects. Also it’s going to be a little bit bigger around 5-inch display, 1080p and a more powerful Snapdragon 800 processor than the one currently used. It’ll supposedly come with Android KitKat 4.4 on board, and have a twin-sensor camera as its primary differentiating factor said: camera would allow for refocusing of focal depth after a picture is taken, and improve other editing features including the deletion of certain objects form a photo entirely.
