18.1 million PS4 units sold

As announced by Sony, the sales of their latest console have successfully reached the 18.5 million, of which 4.1 million correspond to the consoles sold in the last month of last year (2014), during the festive season of Christmas. It also became known that the PlayStation Plus service subscribers reached 10.9 million , an increase of approximately three million over two months. Bear in mind , that the path of the console market started in November 2013 , and at this stage the PS4 leads the new generation consoles race.
Also more information are known about the subscription service "PlayStation Now". From January 13th the cost will be at 19.99 dollars per month or 44.99 dollars per quarter while PS4 holders in USA will have access to over 100 PS3 titles through the online service from Sony.

Limited edition PS4 "Dragon Quest"

Sony announced it's limited edition PS4 "Dragon Quest" at a press conference in Tokyo and will be released in Japan in 2015. Sony is releasing the limited edition PS4 in order to celebrate the release of their series game "Dragon Quest Heroes" which was also announced in Tokyo.
The silver console and DualShock 4 controller as shown in the picture has the Dragon's Quest mascot "Slime" printed on them while they have also added that metal "Slime" "melting" acting as a USB cover as well. Also the console clearly has a "Dragon Quest" decal at the corner of the console. 

 Bare in mind that this limited edition PS4 is planned to be release only in Japan.

GTA V Online: Crew Members up to 1,000

Rockstar has announced an update of the crew membership cap in GTA Online from 300 to 1,000 players.

The update comes just after the addition of Crew Head to Head playlist challenges, which enables you to set a wager of your choice and earn bragging rights by taking down your opponents.

Rockstar is also planning to start livestreaming Crew battles from 7th February, this Friday at 2pm ET / 11am PT / 7pm GMT on its YouTube channel.

The new Thinner by 20%, lighter by 15% and with better battery life (up to 6 hours gaming) than it's predecessor PS Vita slim is available to buy HERE for £179.86.
PS Vita slim comes in 6 different colors (black, white, gray, blue, yellow and pink). It has 1GB of internal storage and supports an sd-card up to 64GB.



Also the new PS Vita slim has a quad-core Cortex A9 processor, 512MB of RAM, 128MB of VRAM and the screen has been replaced with IPS LCD. There's also front and rear cameras, stereo speakers, a microphone and it is capable of remotely playing games from the console (PS4)

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition pre-order is up in Gamestop

GameStop stores are now selling copies of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, a few days ahead of its planned January 28th release date. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was announced in December and has been “re-built specifically for next gen consoles” along with “an obsessively detailed Lara and a fully realized lifelike world."



Two new maps for Killzone: Shadow Fall

As promised last summer Guerrilla will release their first DLC expansion pack with two new maps free of charge for their Killzone: Shadow Fall game on Playstation 4.

The two maps are called "The Cruiser" and "The Hangar". The first map is a small to medium range map set in the confines of a decommissioned ISA cruiser and the other is wide-open map situated in the hangar bay of one of the Helghan’s humongous mining spires.

Unfortunately, neither that expansion pack nor these two new maps have a release date as of yet.
